Technical Skills: (Primary)
• Javascript Technologies: Node JS, Express Js, Javascript
• Database Technologies: Relational Databases, Mongo DB
• Web Technologies: HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Understand the data flow, communication mechanism(Synch/asynch, TCP/HTTP/HTTPS) between the multiple systems
• Understand the volume of data to be passed through the APIs to be designed and the load
• Optimize API performance and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with Reference DATA developers, consuming and data source applications to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Adherence to Best Practices & Methodologies (Unit, End-To-End, Etc.)
• Adherence to Application Development Documentation Best Practices
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Experience in conducting Design & Code Reviews
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)and deployment of Node.js applications.
• Familiarity with Agile practices
Technical Skills (Secondary – Nice to have, NOT MANDATORY):
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, JIRA
• Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of software testing principles and experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Chai, Jest).
• Working experience or knowledge of insurance domain
• Messaging (Apache Kafka)
Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in backend development, particularly in the Node.js ecosystem.
