• Expert at SQL Server database administration, troubleshooting, security, and performance.
• Expert communicator with both technical peers and executives in the US and India.
• Perform Incident and Problem management duties.
• Experience in installation and configuration of MS SQL Server 2012 2014 2016 2017 2019 versions, upgrades, maintenance plans etc.
• Experience in applying necessary SQL Server service packs and CUs Hotfixes Security updates.
• Good knowledge on maintaining databases in AWS and Azure (Ec2/VMs/RDS/Managed RDS instance).
• Preparing DR strategies and implementing DR practice tests for mission critical databases to build DR availability confidence.
• Experience in identifying blockings, deadlocks, index fragmentation, High CPU usage queries.
• Expert in Configuring Transactional Replication setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Expert in High-availability concepts likes clustering, database mirroring, Log shipping, replication and Always On High Availability.
• Provide recommendations with respect to stabilizing environment and assist with optimizing performance and throughput.
• Plan for table space utilization and develop migration plans to ensure data integrity prior to anticipated changes, expansions.
• Performing database refreshes between various DB environments.
• Capacity management which includes planning and recommend the application owners to archive the historical data, data file movement to improve the storage capacity.
• Performance and Tuning, Query optimization using SQL profiler, DTA, Perfmon, DMVs, DBCC and SSMS Proactive health checks.
• Experience in Business Intelligence components like SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.
• Responsibility for the success of Migration of databases, SSR;S & SSAS.
• Good technical knowledge on BI Components & PowerShell scripting & T-SQL scripting.
• Plan for table space utilization and develop migration plans to ensure data integrity prior to anticipated changes, expansions.
• Good knowledge on Security Management like Auditing, Logins & Users. Managing security.
