Data Modeller//Data Architect

Overview

·       Designing and implementing modern, scalable data architectures (focusing on leveraging cloud services)

·       Create source to target data mapping rules with biz transformations as needed.

·       Develop maintenance process for requirements and modelling artefacts

·       Conduct and lead discussions with business leads, SMEs and stakeholders to understand projects scope and business requirements and translate business requirements into data requirements.

.Safeguarding the overall data model solution and ensuring the adherence to the platforms data       modelling standards and principles adopted by group.

Job Description

·       Design and model databases, data warehouse, data marts/lakes etc.

·       Define and document existing data architecture through requirement gathering, interactions with business, reverse engineering.

·       Work as a Tech Lead ,Conduct and lead discussions with business leads, SMEs and stakeholders to understand projects scope and business requirements.

·       Translate biz requirements into data requirements.

·       Understand and data elements and their domains.

·       Understand relationships among those elements and inter-dependencies between models

·       Design and build Conceptual, logical and physical data models and create physical data structures (DDLs)

·       Develop maintenance process for requirements and modelling artefacts

·       Automation to upload the source data structure to Power designer and also export the data model from Power Designer to the designated path in readable format.

·       Perform impact analysis for any proposed change, database upgrade, new functionality, backup & restore, archiving etc.

·       Coordinate with change & release manager and provide production support on need basis.

·       Adhere to or Setup data architecture processes, standards and guidelines.

·       Identify potential design, process and/or system change to optimize performance and mitigate risks.

·       Analyse, research, troubleshoot and resolve data issues impacting biz reports and/or data delivery.
