About the Role

 

We are seeking a Workday Absence consultant to support our customers who are deploying Workday Absence for the first time, or as part of the Phase X and production support (AMS) projects.

Consultants should have hands-on experience guiding customers around global Absence configuration and implementations, while also being able to provide suggestions to optimize existing Absence configuration.

 

Key Expectations

  • Experience in all stages of the Workday project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through testing and deployment.
  • Run customer design sessions for existing or new Absence plans, configuration, and touchpoints across other Workday modules. 
  • Proactively deliver on assigned project scope and coordinates with others when applicable.
  • Listens to client requests, assesses actual client need, provides subjective matter expertise, proposes alternatives, and recommends solution(s).
  • Contribute towards the development of internal resources via mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in building the UST Brand by participating in Workday ecosystem product groups/chats and contributes advanced thinking and sharing of ideas within the ecosystem.
  • Uses strong presentation, communication, listening and consultative skills to guide and drive discussions.
  • Up to 25% travel for client design, testing and support sessions.

Skills & Requirements

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Technical Proficiencies: 4+ years relevant Workday experience configuring and deploying the Workday Absence module as part of new and subsequent deployments. Ideally certified in Workday HCM, Absence and other related modules (like Time Tracking). We will consider non-certified experienced candidates, but will require them to get certified within 12 months (UST is a certified Workday partner, so can maintain and add certs). Strong communication skills and experience working with global client teams in US, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Bachelor’s Degree or 4-year equivalent work experience in the relevant functional areas. Proven consultative skills to guide client and internal discussions to agreement of solutions in a timely manner. Mandatory skills – Workday HCM +Absence module(FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANTS)
