Database engineer with Postgre SQL, CouchDB database experience is required. The client is currently setting up Disaster Recovery instance and we are in Implementation phase. The database tools are Postgre SQL and Couchdb. The Databse Engineer should have hands-on experience of 6-8 years.
Job Responsibilities:
# Cooridnate with other teams for database related activities such as Cloud Architect , Data , QA and App teams.
# Validate all the deployments with database architect.
# Perform failover / failback processes related to database.
# Create and Get the sign off DR Infra Related SOPs, Runbooks, Configuration Documents, taking the help from Database Architect.
# Provide KT of the created DR environment to the BAU Support team including handing over the relevant infra related documentation.
# Create data validation scripts in both PostGre & CouchDB.
Mandatory Skill: Postgre SQL Skills: Postgre SQL experience. CouchDB database experience. Disaster Recovery implementation experience. Database coordination with other teams. Deployment validation. Failover and failback processes. Documentation creation (DR Infra SOPs, Runbooks, Configuration Documents). Knowledge transfer (KT) to support teams. Data validation scripting in PostGre SQL. Data validation scripting in CouchDB.
